Crystal is an award-winning public radio producer, freelance writer, and, in recent years, speculative fiction writer. She's sold a few short stories, has many more on the submission circuit, and is working on a novel about witches and family and Appalachian folk magic. She also dodges mosquitos while gardening; cares for her husband, four ghost cats and three recently adopted cats; or indulges in her love for good conversation and good mead. Or tequila. Or scotch.
