YA Literature is consumed, enjoyed, and written by people of all age groups. But what about its original target demographic? What, exactly, do teenagers enjoy about YA? What makes or breaks a good YA book? In this panel, a group of teenagers and SFWA's newest grandmaster discusses what they love and hate about the genre and its many subgenres, tropes, and traits.
