Kij Johnson is the author of five novels, several novellas, and a short-story collection, and a winner of the Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, Sturgeon, and Crawford Awards. Currently she teaches writing and fantasy literature at the University of Kansas, where she is the associate director for the Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction.
